Survey Confirms, Adults Never Outgrow Chocolate Milk!
Chocolate milk has always been revered as a favorite beverage for children. But a new survey has confirmed that adults never outgrow their love for a tall glass of chocolate milk goodness.
The popular cocoa beverage is frequently consumed by a large segment of adults – and more often than you might think.
a2 Milk® set out to find exactly how much chocolate milk adults are drinking – and the answer is sweet. Over 1,200 chocolate milk drinkers explained just how much they love chocolate milk.
There are an endless amount of sweets and snacks that chocolate milk can pair with, but when asked ‘what do you drink chocolate milk with,’ respondents preferred to consume the beverage by itself (58%).
The next highest preference (30%) enjoys chocolate milk with snack foods (16%) specific meals (8%) and ‘every type of food’ (6%).
National Chocolate Milk Day might be in September, but respondents made it clear there are no shortage of great reasons to pop a carton of chocolate milk. Respondents were asked to give their two best reasons why they love chocolate milk.
So, why do people drink chocolate milk? Over 89% remarked – they love the taste. (Duh!).
Other leading reasons included ‘to get their chocolate fix’ (35%), ‘it reminds them of their childhood (24%), and even to ‘recover from a workout’ (9%) – yay protein!
Do you think most people are drinking chocolate milk at home? You’re mostly correct, but over 54% of respondents admitted to ordering a glass of chocolate milk at a restaurant as an adult.
This proves once again – there really isn’t a bad place to have a chocolate milk!
The choice of order is mostly accepted among adults. Only 22% of respondents remarked they ‘had been made fun of’ for drinking chocolate milk as an adult. But this means 78% are accepting of this delicious beverage choice.
